dance baby, dance, because you're too fat to fly

i'm attempting to write a children's book. inspired by 'Leaping Beauty' - cheeky twist to modern fairie tales.
it's harder than i thought. i had this vision that i would sit down to type and in the wee hours of the morning - my fingers contorted from the mad typing, sweat pouring from my brow, with only a candle to light my laptop - i would spit out a complete manuscript.

i didn't account for the loss of concentration skills (not that i had much to begin with), the little time i actually have to invest in Me-time everyday, and the shortage of inspiration and longage of stupid ideas.
