mommy times

we had a playdate today.
2 other moms came over with their little ones to watch a movie.
it's lame but i enjoy the details of entertaining. arranging cookies (that i baked) on a 2 tiered tray.
making sure i had matching dessert plates and drinking glasses (i stopped short of chilling them in the fridge). and i was going to put out cocktail napkins but i only had the Christmas motifed ones on hand. amateur.

L was the oldest baby by 4 months. He crawled around, grabbed at other mommys' arms and chewed on other babys' shoes like a gracious little host.

we watched Disturbia.
thrills and teen love in suburbia.
i don't want to be the cliched soccer mom. it just seems to go hand in hand with the pool in the backyard, the unsatisfied husband, and the serial killer next door.
