addicted to yoga

i just spent the last hour and 15 minutes trying to twist my body into shapes you don't normally see in nature. i love this class. i was surprised that it was difficult. it's slow paced but they make you hold poses till your muscles scream for mercy. i think i've found a workout that compliments me. sweet!

near the end of the class today, we were sitting on the floor on our mats - she instructed us to hook our right knee behind our right elbow, our left knee behind our left elbow, lift our butts off the ground, hold the pose, then swing our legs out into a pushup position. (as if!). i didn't quite do the swinging out part, but i got the first pose done. i like knowing i can push my body farther than it thinks. also i'm sure this won't hurt the sex life.
