sleeping-in day

Luke has had the stomach flu. he's better today but he's been pretty cranky all week. i wonder who he got it from? i bet it was from lounging in that disease cesspool they call a baby friendly coffee shop.
it is my turn to sleep in today so i am writing from under a cozy comforter in bed. that interview on friday with the consulting company went well - i have interviews on tuesday and wednesday this week.
i want the job from the tuesday interview. want it. want it.

i know that i won't see him as much during the week if i get this job. i have to remember that i'm just racking up hours for my next mat leave. it's crazy how you can only take 6 weeks of mat leave in the States. is that even paid? people that interview me wonder why i'm not taking the whole alotted year off. not being part of the workforce for 9 months is a long time. i am kind of going crazy with all the isolation. it wouldn't matter so much if i could drive the standard - or if we had money enough so that i could be travelling while i'm not being social.
