sand in the booti

so much went down that week - that i'm going to be talking about the surf trip for a few more entries so bear with me.

the second beach we went to was called Booti Booti! and the last one was Evans Head. i don't know who was in charge of naming conventions back in the day. S/he was either ESL or 2 years old - or a surfer ;)

one of the instructors was called Moony. from Moon Unit. because he was such a space cadet - but he really knew his stuff. they taught us about onshore and offshore winds, high pressure systems and how that affected waves, increments of time between high and low tides. Michael said 'who knew you turn into a meteorologist when you become a surfer?'.
